Featured in our Formation Series are the Golden Girls of Miami Northwestern Girls from Miami, Florida. After re-posting a video from their Director/Choreographer, Traci Young-Byron, it has generated a lot of views on our Instagram and Facebook pages. Normally, top five videos of the dance line’s performances are posted for review. However, it was hard to ignore the beauty within this dance team. Traci (above picture, in the middle), strives on helping these beautiful brown girls feel comfortable and confident in their brown skin. These are young ladies who come from rough neighborhoods and she has molded them into Golden Stars.
For those who may not know, Traci appeared on several episodes of Lifetime Tv Bring it and had her own reality show as well Step it Up with her dance company Young Contemporary Dance Theater (YCDT) Supastarz.
Like their coach, they are trendsetters in Miami. Most of their members are in YCDT as well.
