  Pretty Brown Dancers did not chose Syndey Magruder Washington as Dancer of the Week solely because of her dance pictures and videos. We were intrigued by her posts that show how her courage, compassion and strength, to reveal to the public that she is a ballerina  and a warrior against the obstacle affecting 1 in 5 Americans every day…mental health illness. Dancer of the Week: Chantal' Ashantè Hill

Originally from Chicago, Illinois Chantal’ Ashante Hill began as a gymnast at 6 years old but began her formal ballet training at the late age of 17. With the heart & the strength of God, she persevered towards her purpose which she now calls “Spiritual Ballerina.” Chantal’ is the Spiritual Ballerina who dances as Gods Vessel to glorify God.

Dancer of the Week: Simone Marmol

14 year old dancer Simone Marmol hails from Orlando, Fl. We have posted her beautiful pictures captured by photographer Heather Elizabeth Lehman of Lisbet Photography plenty of times on our Instagram. Dancer of the Week: Aniyah Stuart-Veira

Our new Dancer of the Week is 15 year old Aniyah Stuart-Viera of Brampton, Ontario Canada. She is the very first International Brown Girls Do Ballet Ambassador. In addition she is a brand ambassador for Kinetic Essentials and “A Smiles for All” Ballerina in which she dances in a hospital for kids. Check out her interview with us:
