Originally from Chicago, Illinois Chantal’ Ashante Hill began as a gymnast at 6 years old but began her formal ballet training at the late age of 17. With the heart & the strength of God, she persevered towards her purpose which she now calls “Spiritual Ballerina.” Chantal’ is the Spiritual Ballerina who dances as Gods Vessel to glorify God.
Eagles Landing Dance Center is based in Stockbridge, Georgia. The dance company just ended their amazing year with their annual dance recital, “Dance, Dream, Inspire”. Check out the dance members ballet performance to the legendary Donny Hathaway’s “A Song For You”.
Earlier this month, three high school girls from Maplewood, NJ performed a powerful lyrical dance to Nina Simone’s song “Strange Fruit” for a Special Dance event taken place at Columbia High School. However, their school community deemed it offensive.

There have been articles about how it was challenging for black dance moms to hear from dance instructors who did not understand the hair texture of the black and brown dancers…whose dance class mates are predominantly white. Many people have their criticisms of dancers who wore their natural hair textures…most of them were negative.

Bring It! star and entrepreneur Dianna Williams have built a Birmingham Dance Dolls factory in Alabama. The girls were featured on Season 3 and have shown the world that they are just as sassy as their DD sisters of Jackson, MS. Here they are in competition from November 2016. These Birmingham Dolls are nothing to mess with. Season 4 of Bring It! will premiere on January 13, 2017.
