Michaela DePrince was a warrior against adversity. Her parents died when she was in her toddler years. As a result, Deprince was sent to an orphanage in Sierra Leone, where she was mistreated because of her skin condition, vitiligo. However, Michaela came across a portrait of a ballerina and found her happiness. In this TedTalk, Michaela discussed how ballet dancing helped her found happiness.
