May & June is graduation season for high school and colleges. Individuals are entering the next chapter in their lives whether it is moving forward to undergraduate studies, pursuing a Masters Degree, or explore the real world to find their calling. During the year, we are posting pictures and videos of talented black and brown women dancers of child, teen and adult ages. PrettyBrownDancers.com wants to go above and beyond to honor dancers graduating in 2018 from high school and college. Check out the first volume of these dancing graduates:
Kendra Wiggins was a member of the following school organizations Link Crew, FCCLA, and Key Club. Also, she was a singer in South Central High School gospel choir. In addition, She is a dancer on the South Central High School dance team and dances at Katura Dance Academy in Greenville, NC. (Follow her on Instagram @its.kendrraa)
Daria Hawkins, Pikesville High School
Daria Hawkins is graduating with a 3.75 gpa & have been accepted into 9 universities. She took many honors and AP level course classes at school I will be graduating in May 2018. She is a dancer for N’ferno Dance Company Located in Randallstown, Maryland. She is a 2 time National Champion for Elite Dance Challenge and have been apart of The senior elite dance team. Her plans for the future is to become a clinical social worker and eventually an entrepreneur for her own dance studio.
Keyonna Fluker, Anniston High School
Keyonna has been on the Anniston High Schools Top 100 students ; inducted into the National Honor Society; received a certificate for passing her college dual enrollment classes. She became Servesafe certified. She graduated as one of the Top 10 Seniors at Anniston High School with the grade point average of a 3.7. Her community involvement included providing food and clothing to individuals in need along with her church. Her future plans is to attend Alabama State University and hopes to become apart of the Sensational Stingettes Dance Team. (Follow her on Instagram @thatmelanindancer)
Megan Gatlin, Franklinton High School
Megan Gatlin has been the captain of her high school dance team. She was a member of clubs and will be attending Southern University in the Fall, with plans to study Business Marketing/Management. (Follow her on Instagram @_.megz)
Jada Wallace is graduating with high honors. She was the captain of Blue Elegance Dance Team for two years. She has plans to become a firefighter.
