In 2015, Dance Makers Inc. of Atlanta, GA did a beautiful performance to the tunes of the great late Nina Simone’s remake of Abel Meeropol’s classic “Strange Fruit”.
At first, I posted this to my Instagram and had two teams confused. Apparently there is another dance team called Dance Makers in Lanham, Maryland. I immediately erased the comment. However, nothing can take away that the Dance Makers of Atlanta performed a beautiful number at the 2015 The Dance Awards, where they won Senior Best Performance.
